We are dedicated to developing and releasing the highest calibre of Ministers to serve Jesus in our nation. We recognise that God calls and anoints, and through our Ministers in Training (MiT) we have created an environment to assess and enhance giftings and leadership ability.
The MiT is a three-year journey, combining in-person teaching at Leadership Forums, coaching, reflective journaling, and more, offering a strong foundation for your ministerial path. For full course details, download our Course Prospectus below.
Applications for Cohort 30 (C30), beginning in May 2027 and leading to full AoG GB Ministerial Status by May 2030, are now open. You can download the digital version of our prospectus and apply using the buttons below
"What strikes me is the level of professionalism and seriousness AoG is taking with this course. It is a confirmation of what God has said over the individual and practical in equipping and inspiration… The raising of the bar of teaching, best practice and a standardised theme of what we expect from our ministers is fantastic to see!"

We celebrate higher education and provide it through our various courses at our College, Missio Dei. However the MiT Course places high value on relational learning, Ministerial training and assessment. If any higher education modules are a like-for-like equivalent of any modules in our course, it may be possible to submit them in place of the assignment, but you will still be expected to attend all Forums and engage in all learning.

We believe that the full 3-year programme of MiT is built to ensure that every AoG Minister understands the culture of AoG GB and has a quality comprehension of the topics covered Biblical Literacy, Cultural Intelligence, Self Leadership, Charitable Governance and Working With People.
In some cases, applicants may already have completed formal ministerial training and hold Ministerial Status via another Denomination in Great Britain or AoG Fellowship, who are part of the World Assemblies of God. To be able to suitably honour these applicants, there is a process of Status Transition available which can result in a bespoke version of the MiT Course being provided that can be anywhere between 12 to 24 months. Acceptance onto this bespoke track of the Ministers in Training programme is not guaranteed and it is expected that anyone applying for Status Transition should be prepared to complete the standard 3-year MiT Course.
-
Absolutely. The MiT programme is designed to equip ministers of all profiles. As long as you meet the criteria outlined in the ‘Requirements to Apply’ (listed above), and are able to commit to the ongoing requirements of the course, you will be considered for application.

In order to be eligible for the course that begins in May 2027 (C30 Intake), stage 1 of your application must be made through the AoG GB Website by the 1st December 2026. Further deadlines must be met in order to complete your application, and are outlined in full within the Course Prospectus including an application process checklist.
Interviews take place in February 2027 ready for names being approved by the National Leadership Team before the National Conference in May 2027.
Missing a deadline at any of the stages will result in the application being moved to the following year’s Cohort. Due to the large number of applications received, we encourage applicants to follow up with their endorsing and character referees to ensure their application continues in a timely manner.
