Is this just for senior ministers?
How much time will I need to give?
As a movement we strongly believe that the local church is the hope of the world, and the local church depends on people who are willing to follow the call of God and serve their communities. People like you.
Churches have adapted over time to huge shifts in culture, especially so in the last few years - many have had to explore a whole new approach to how they facilitate community, teaching and connection.
The Assemblies of God in Great Britain as a whole are seeing God move in mighty ways through a wide variety of outreach and influence in their communities. We all know there is no such thing as a perfect church, but it is within our reach to work on ensuring our churches are as healthy as they can be. This is why Church Health exists as a department - to provide support, encouragement, training and community to senior ministers and leaders of AoG Churches.
There is no such thing as 'the perfect church' but we believe with the right support and training, leaders can be empowered to adapt, implement new approaches, and bring change to areas that have become stuck.
What has become clear over our first year of coaching is that learning together in a community setting is powerful - and helps leaders know they are not alone in the obstacles and challenges they face as church leaders. In order to build on the group coaching provided, the team have built an online community space where you will find a forum to ask questions and contribute answers, anytime access to training and development resources and much more.
No matter what size, stage, or location - every church can grow in the multi-faceted area of church health. The Church Health team is passionate about doing all we can to not only cheer on our leaders and their churches but equip and practically support them in their pursuit of building the churches God has called them to build.
